October 3, 2024 8:10 AM:
Both Farm Hill Elementary and Beman Middle School are currently experiencing an outage affecting internet and phone services. Power is on in both schools and normal school hours are in effect. Our Technology Department is actively working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, we have implemented the following backup communication options:
- Phone Calls: All phone calls to Farm Hill and Beman will be redirected to designated cell phones (one per school). Please note that this may result in delayed response times.
- Urgent Matters: If you have an urgent need to reach the school this morning and are unable to get through via phone, you may direct message one of your child's teachers through ParentSquare. We kindly request that you use this option only for true emergencies to avoid overwhelming our teachers with messages.
- Non-Urgent Matters: For non-urgent questions, please feel free to contact Central Office at 860-638-1401.
We will provide an update as soon as internet and phone services are restored. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this temporary disruption.
Thank you for your patience.

Middletown Public Schools celebrates the National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week (September 15-21, 2024), which raises public awareness about the need for and value of adult education and family literacy.
Mayor Florsheim invited Middletown Adult Education (MAE) students, MAE Director Ralph D’Amato, and MAE Social Worker Christine Valdez to his office to learn about their experiences at MAE. In support of Adult and Family Literacy week, he signed a proclamation for our students.
