glowparty

The Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten Academy (KPA) students wrapped up their exciting Science unit on light with an unforgettable Glowstick Party that illuminated both their imaginations and the classroom! The event was a fun and interactive way to celebrate the young learners' exploration of the fascinating world of light.

For the past several weeks, the students have been studying the properties of light, including how it travels, reflects, and interacts with different materials. Their lessons also included experiments with shadows, colors, and even creating their own "light sources" through simple hands-on activities.

As a grand finale, teachers turned down the lights and handed out colorful glowsticks to each student. The room was instantly filled with vibrant hues of green, blue, pink, and purple as the children waved their glowsticks in the air, creating a magical atmosphere. In addition to the glowsticks, the students enjoyed light-themed games and activities designed to reinforce their newfound knowledge about light's behavior and effects.

"It’s been so wonderful watching them discover light in such a creative and energetic way," said Mrs. Williams, KPA teacher. "The glowstick party was the perfect celebration to wrap up their hard work and curiosity."

The Glowstick Party was just one of many hands-on activities throughout the unit that helped the children connect with Science in an engaging way. The students will continue to explore new concepts in future units, but for now, they’ll have memories of glowing lights and the magic of learning that they’ll carry with them.
