100th day

Farm Hill Elementary recently marked two exciting milestones in the school year: the 100th day of school and the 1000th day of school for our fifth-grade students. The celebration was filled with fun, creativity, and a lot of colorful 80s fashion, making it a day to remember for both students and staff alike.

The 100th day of school is always a special occasion, but this year’s celebration had an extra layer of excitement, as it coincided with the fifth graders’ 1000th day of school. To commemorate these milestones, everyone participated in a school-wide theme inspired by the 1980s, tying in perfectly with the fact that there are 80 days left until the end of the school year.

Students and staff alike dressed in their best 80s attire, sporting neon colors, scrunchies, leg warmers, and big hair, channeling the bold fashion of the era. The energetic, retro vibe spread across the school, with everyone showing off their love for the unforgettable style of the 80s. It was a fun, nostalgic blast from the past, and the school hallways were filled with vibrant colors and enthusiastic energy.

To make the day even more memorable, some of the staff embraced a unique twist on the theme. A few teachers got into the spirit by dressing up as “100-year-old ladies,” wearing 80s-style clothing with an added humorous flair. Edna, Eloise, and Betty, three of the fifth-grade substitutes, were a hit blending their age-themed costumes with the bold fashion of the 1980s.

The day was filled with activities to celebrate the number 100, including art projects, math challenges, and writing exercises. Students counted, measured, and reflected on all the things they had accomplished in their 100 days of learning.

Overall, the 100th day of school at Farm Hill was a lively, fun-filled event that highlighted both the joy of learning and the sense of community within the school. The 80s theme brought everyone together in a shared celebration, ensuring that these milestones were not only remembered but also enjoyed in true Farm Hill style.
