A warm welcome from the Farm Hill Family Resource Center!

There are many fun, special and important events that happen at the FRC and Farm Hill School. After signing in atthe Main Office, please stop in at any time to check us out. The FRC is located on the second floor, the first door on the left after the office.

Here at the Family Resource Center, our goals are:

To provide a welcoming environment at school and support parent involvement.

To build and nurture the school and home partnership.

To support family literacy and language development for young children.

To increase children's readiness for beginning school.

To provide information and referrals to help our parents and families.

To provide workshops and meetings on topics important to parents and families.

To offer a range of recreational and educational opportunities that support positive relationships with peers and adults.

Some of our programs include:

PLAYGROUPS for children birth to 5 accompanied with their parent or caregiver

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:15-10:45

FAMILY DAY CARE PLAY GROUPS for local home Day Care Providers

Mondays from 10:00 - 11:15

LUNCH BUNCH for students in grades K-5 during lunch. Students read books and work on art and literacy projects

Days and times dependent on grade level and lunch schedule

We also offer HOME or PERSONAL VISITS with a certified Parent Educator for families pregnant or with children ages birth to school age children. Using the Parents as Teachers National model, personal visits include providing information about child development and support for overall family well-being. Visits include developmental screenings in all areas including social and emotional, language, gross motor, fine motor, and cognitive development. In addition, personal visits are designed to support families in needed areas such as but not limited to connecting to the school, community resources, discipline, family routines, and employment support.
